| The ISSA Recommendations 2000 provide
a template for quality for future market developments and structures
in global asset servicing, and for risk reduction. They update
and extend the scope of the well-known nine Recommendations
on Clearance and Settlement in the World's Financial Markets,
published by the Group of Thirty in 1989. The ISSA board will
assume the role of custodian of the recommendations and will
launch an independent, member driven, process to monitor progress.
