According to our journals, we have had to postpone our settlement cycles just once over the last 12 months due to customer problems with S.W.I.F.T-communication. The exact date was August 22nd, 2001. Other changes (2 to 3) were caused by communication problems with our national RTGS-System ARTIS. | |

No extension of opening hours was necessary over the last 12 months - even on the 3 to 4 occasions mentioned above. | |

Due to problems with the settlement-application, start of day processing was delayed on 2 occasions in the last 12 months. | |
| 2. | Does the depository operate real time or multiple batch processing for settlement? | Today, the depository provides services based on multiple batches. In 2002, we plan to offer realtime-settlement based on a new event-driven, straight through processing system, presently being developed. |
| 3. | Does the depository allow interactive communication (on line real time) with its users, enabling settlement input and amendment? | Interactive communication is supported via leased lines or public internet. |
